Nick has been helping clients navigate money, lending, and business finance for more than three decades. He started his career in the banking industry in the 1980’s, quickly progressing into senior roles managing complex commercial lending portfolios.
After gaining firsthand experience as a business owner in an award-winning restaurant for 5 years, Nick returned to finance with a clear focus: to provide advice that feels personal, practical, and genuinely supportive.
As a multi-award-winning finance broker, Nick has worked with thousands of clients, helping them buy homes, grow investments, build businesses, and make confident financial decisions. He’s known for his calm approach, depth of knowledge and commitment to long-term relationships.
Nick believes good financial advice should make life easier, not more complicated. His goal is simple: help people get their finances in order so they can spend more time doing what they love. For him, that’s with his family and friends or embarking on adventures on the ocean, the outback or travelling.
Richard has been working in the finance industry since 1987. After a 15 year career with the National Australia Bank, seeing him specialising in all aspects of banking and working in many roles, including as a Client Manager and Mobile Mortgage Manager. With over 30 years’ experience Richard has become well known as an individual devoted to the delivery of outstanding customer service. He was recognised in the 2018 Better Business Awards, by being a finalist in the category of Best Individual Customer Service. He has also been recognised by the Professional Lenders Association of Australia, by being inducted into the Hall of Fame and has received multiple Excellence in Finance Awards.
Having completed a Diploma in Financial Services in 2011, together with his comprehensive knowledge of commercial lending, leasing and personal lending. His passion for problem solving and great customer service, sees him ideally placed to guide you through the complex world of modern finance.
Richard is an active member of his local community, and understands the principle of giving back. He was made a Life Member of the Kalamunda and Districts Junior Football Club, after many years of service as a player, coach and committee member. He likes to keep active with a strong passion for keeping fit and enjoys mountain bike riding in his spare time along with the occasional surf.
As a father of four, Richard understands the different financial stages of life and will work with you, to help you achieve great outcomes, as you move through your personal financial journey.
Steve joined the Purely Finance Team at the beginning of 2005 after completing his Degree at Murdoch University.
During his time working for Purely Finance he has gained valuable experience working alongside the Directors of the company, assisting them manage their large and continually growing client base.
Over the past two years Steve has been recognised for his hard work and dedication and was Awarded the PLAN Australia Administrator of the year for 2015 – the first Year this Award was established. He has also been Awarded Best Loan Administrator in 2015 and more recently in 2016 at The Adviser Better Business Awards for WA . This is an exceptional achievement as it is rare for an individual to Win the same Award two years running.
The knowledge and experience Steve has gained from working in the industry over the past decade has allowed him to also grow his own client base. With a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, majoring in Finance, and a Diploma of Financial Services, Steve has the education, knowledge, industry recognition and experience to enable him to provide the best results for customers of Purely Finance. Steve’s ability to help customers understand the often-complex world of finance and his passion for helping others achieve success in today’s financial world makes him a highly valued member of the Purely Finance team.
Timmy joined the finance broking industry in 2014 with a vision of educating and helping others make informed decisions about their finances
With a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and a Diploma in Finance, Timmy has the knowledge and expertise to assist his clients achieve their financial goals. Timmy was also a finalist as WA Rising Star 2018 at the Better Business Summit.
Having actively participated in Global Money Week, Timmy visited several WA High schools educating Year 11 & 12 students about the complex world of modern finance.
Futhermore, Timmy creates educational content using the social media platform.
In his spare time, Timmy loves dancing, he is one of the most entertaining dancers that you’ll ever see. He is energetic and enjoys meeting new people. Timmy also speaks fluent Mandarin, Cantonese and Hokkien.

Anne- Marie joined Purely Finance in May 2013 bringing with her over 15 years finance experience, having previously worked for NAB in a variety of management roles, most recently as a Personal Banker looking after high net worth professional clients.
With a Diploma of Finance – Finance & Mortgage Broking Management, Anne-Marie works closely with clients to ensure their financial needs are met.
Anne-Marie has been a tremendous asset to the team at Purely Finance.
When not at work Anne-Marie is involved with her family in particular netball with her girls.
Justin joined Purely Finance in August 2023 as a Client Manager. Since stepping into this role, he has quickly become a trusted and approachable point of contact for clients, guiding them through their financial journey and helping them achieve their goals.
In January 2024, Justin further advanced his expertise by earning his Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management, becoming a qualified and registered Finance Broker. This qualification allows him to offer even more specialised services to clients, ensuring they receive the most up-to-date and relevant advice available.
With nine years of experience at NAB, Justin has gained valuable insights across a variety of roles, including his time as a Home Loan Specialist. This extensive background has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the financial services industry, making him a well-rounded asset to the team. His deep industry knowledge allows him to offer clients informed advice on their finance requirements.
Before his career in finance, Justin obtained a Bachelor of Education and worked as a Primary School Teacher. This background in education has strengthened his communication skills and his ability to explain complex concepts in an easy-to-understand way. It also deepened his passion for helping others, a value he continues to carry forward in his work as a finance professional.
Outside of work, Justin values quality time with his family and friends, often enjoying social activities and making the most of the moments that matter most. His balanced approach to work and life underscores his commitment to both personal and professional growth.
Martin has more than 40 years’ experience in the financial services industry in roles as diverse as customer service, commercial loans, business banking, finance and financial markets. Over the years he has developed invaluable skills in finding robust financial solutions for individual customer requirements.
For the past 27 years Martin has focussed his skills in financial planning working with small, medium and institutional businesses.
He completed his Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in finance, in 1997 and his Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning in 2005. He is a fully qualified financial planner having passed all current exams and requirements.
As the father of adult children and grandchildren, Martin has a first hand understanding of the value of sound financial planning and the need to adjust and develop plans as life changes. Working closely with clients and Purely Finance staff over many years, Martin has helped grow the financial planning sector of the company. This has enabled the company to offer complete financial solutions for customers wishing to protect themselves and their families after having taken out a loan, those extending their investment portfolio or business ventures and the full range of retirement planning.
Clare returned to the world of financial planning and joined Purely FP in October 2023 after working for 17 years as a Christian Minister. Since then, she has completed her Post Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning and her professional year, requalifying as a Financial Adviser in January 2026. Clare is currently studying for her Master of Financial Planning, expanding her expertise into aged care and SMSF advice.
She values providing ethical, client-centred advice that aligns with her personal values and is proud to work with a company dedicated to helping everyday Australians achieve their financial goals.
Outside of work, Clare enjoys playing in her veggie patch, cooking up a storm and spoiling her cats.
